2019 Year of the Pig

January 29 – February 17, 2019

“This Little Piggy”, Kari Serrao, encaustic, 2017

A New Year is upon us!

The Pig is the last of the twelve signs in the Chinese Zodiac. According to one myth, the Pig ended up in this position because he overslept and as such was late to the Jade Emperor’s party. Despite his tardiness or maybe in light of it, those born under the sign of the Pig are said to be hard working and energetic, they are social butterflies who enjoy life, and if given the chance, they will take positions of power and status. In 2019, the element associated with the Pig is Earth. Lucky colours are yellow, grey, brown and gold; lucky numbers are 2, 5, 8, and love is said to come from the north…

V is for Volunteer 2019

January 10, 2019 – January 27, 2019

The Artists’ Network annual V is for Volunteer Art Exhibition is time to celebrate and thank our volunteers – the Riverdale ArtWalk and ArtWalk in the Square volunteers and member volunteers serving on committees. They gave their time to the Artists’ Network and now it’s our turn to give back to them. It pays to be a volunteer!
